This library for the Township of Lacey was the first large-scale structural steel project taken on by our firm. The steel was fabricated at our original facility in Hoboken in 1990. The roof of the library is entirely supported by large Pratt trusses and wide flange beam purlins. One noteworthy feature of the building’s design is that no welding was performed on the entire structure with the exception of the column base plates. All shop and field connections were fastened with high-strength bolts
